It is just crazy how corporations and businesses just don’t care about the consumer. They just get bigger profits and keep flogging the consumer and we take it because we are tired. If it was just one thing it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but it seems they get everything wrong and then you have call customer service. (Eerie music inserted here…) The dreaded customer service where it takes half an hour to get through the first barrier, the AI– Artificial Insistence! It is not intelligence because she cannot answer any of your questions. I wonder at why it is always a woman’s voice also? Anyway, a question for another time.
Once you get to the hold music and wait there for some time, you then get someone who is not a native English speaker and probably hasn’t a clue what you are talking about anyway as they live in another country and don’t shop or use most the products you are calling on. I do have a pang in my heart for these brave individuals who have to take the brunt of our anger and frustration. Most of the time they try to help and sometimes do, but at the expense of many hours and finally just giving up if it doesn’t seem the conversation is going anywhere. There is a bit of shrieking involved towards the end when the conversation is deteriorating. It is just exhausting…..!
Today was the boiling over point for me. I had an order that was wrong, contacted customer service where it was supposed to be handled only to find the whole thing is messed up and I have to spend three hours, gas and energy to fix their mistake. All the while they are holding my money till I resolve their issue.
I decided to fight back. This blog is my starting point. I haven’t a clue where it will go, but I am going to call out all the merchants and their errors. I will also add alternatives and options to get back at these companies. Not purchasing their products is a start, but I do so want to do more. It is time for the consumer to take back some ground.
Anyway, this is where it starts…..I will keep you posted 🙂
